Jumanji: The Next Level is the well-received sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The entire cast returns for another wild adventure through the jungle, and desert, in this new film. It's hilarious, family-friendly, and perfect for the holidays.

You don't want to miss out on the movie if you haven't seen it yet or if you're a big fan of the Jumanji franchise in general. Many people even felt that the sequel was better than the first movie. We're taking a look at some of the most hilarious moments from the film, it was hard to pick but we did our best to narrow it down.

10 The introduction to Eddie

Danny DeVito joined the cast of Jumanji: The Next Level and his portrayal of Spencer's grandfather is one of the high points of the film. We don't get to see a lot of him since he spends the majority of the film in a video game, but the opening scenes with him are still hilarious.

Eddie is recovering from hip surgery and frequently falls over since he doesn't want to admit he needs help. He also has to sleep with a sleep apnea machine which gets a lot of laughs from the audience.

9 Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart play old men

When Eddie and Milo get transported into the game they're put into Doctor Bravestone (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and the zoologist "Mouse" (Kevin Hart). It's hilarious to watch Hart and Johnson play off one another as they play men much older than themselves.

It's even more hilarious to hear them speak in accents as they try to mimic their respective characters. Milo and Eddie tease and joke each other quite often in the video game, which means we get to see Johnson and Hart riff off each other which is something they do quite well together.

8 That's my life alert

We already established that Kevin Hart and The Rock are some of the funniest parts of the movie, especially when they're playing Eddie and Milo. One of the funniest moments happens when someone dies and the trademark "new life" ding happens.

Milo hears the sound and says, "oh that's my life alert, time to take my pill." Many people found that line hilarious. Milo also questions why people keep falling from the sky at one point when people keep dying and coming back since in video games you usually get three total lives.

7 Fridge gets to test out a new avatar

Poor Fridge gets the short end of the stick in this movie. He winds up in Jack Black's avatar or the cartographer Professor Shelly. He feels out of sorts since Fridge is used to being extremely fit and Professor Shelly is the polar opposite of what he's used to.

However, at one point, Fridge and Martha get to switch avatars and Fridge tries to do some crazy acrobatics as Ruby Roundhouse. Unfortunately, he messes up and he and Martha switch back. It doesn't last long but it's nice to see Karen Gillan play with some of the body-swapping humor.

6 Bethany returns to the Professor Shelly avatar

One of the most popular parts of the first movie was Jack Black's portrayal of Bethany when she accidentally winds up inside of his corresponding video game avatar. In this movie, Bethany doesn't join the gang until about a third of the way in and she is in a horse for a while.

Eventually, everyone switches bodies and Bethany returns to the Shelly. He's as hilarious as ever in this film and Bethany is overjoyed at being reunited with a familiar avatar instead of a horse.

5 Bethany and Fridge pretend to be the Kababish brothers

Close to the grand climax of the movie, Bethany and Fridge have to pretend to be the Kababish brothers so they can get closer to the Falcon Jewel. Fridge winds up being the "brave" brother and Bethany is the "clever" brother.

Unfortunately, Fridge doesn't realize that the brave brother is also a eunuch, which is another way of saying he doesn't have testicles. There is a moment of hilarious riffing between Fridge, Bethany, and one of the guards in the elevator.

4 Eddie uses his smoldering intensity in real life

One of Doctor Bravestone's main strengths in the game is that he gets to use a "smoldering intensity" which is basically an intensely attractive stare he makes while looking off into the distance.

When Eddie gets returned to his normal body, a.k.a. Danny DeVito, he tests out his own version of the smoldering intensity on the owner of Nora's Cafe. She is thoroughly affected by his attempt and it ends up playing out in a really funny moment. Plus, it looks like Eddie gets a sweet and happy ending.

3 Eddie gets everyone killed

During the scene where the gang has to try and infiltrate a small village area and "follow the flame," Eddie gets into a fight with, well, everyone. He starts punching everyone he comes into contact with and eventually gets chased out of the village by his foe, Switchblade.

After the gang manages to escape, they try to convince Eddie to run but he thinks they can stay and fight. Switchblade throws a bomb at them and everyone dies, losing another one of their many lives. The death glares they all give Eddie when they return is priceless.

2 Milo talks to camels

The zoologist, Mouse, gets a new strength in this game, linguistics. We find out that means he can talk to animals. When the group is trying to find the desert fruit and follow the flame, Milo's ability comes in handy when he tries to recruit a group of camels to carry them to their next destination.

He even finds out all of their names. Plus, he uses the camels as a defense when he and Eddie wind up arguing while they're riding through the desert. Milo is able to tell Eddie that his camel is "just giving him a ride" and that he agrees with Milo about Eddie being a jerk.

1 Fridge's reaction to seeing cake

Fans who saw Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, will remember that at one point, Fridge died by eating cake since that is one of Mouse's weaknesses. In this movie, a kindly older woman offers Bethany and Fridge cake and Fridge freaks out.

He slaps the cake out of her hands and shouts "NO!" over and over again. Then at the end of the film at Nora's while back in his normal body, Fridge debates trying to eat cake again and ultimately passes on it.
